QRS Complex

After passage through the atrioventricular node, the electrical impulse is conducted along the ventricular conduction pathways consisting of the common bundle of His, the left and right bundle branches, the distal bundle branches, and the Purkinje fibers. The QRS complex represents the progress of the depolarization wave through this conduction system. After terminal depolarization, the electrocardiographic pattern should normally return to baseline.
